Facebook a huge opportunity for restaurant marketing

Nowadays, it is definitely that most people get familiar with the online social network like “Facebook”. This network can give countless advantages for businesses which make use of online marketing.
Most of people believes that Facebook is kind of teenage entertainment, the fastest growing number of its membership are females whose ages ranging from 50 to 65 years old.
Facebook, for example, helps Starbucks and Steve Fenton’s restaurant succeed in keeping in touch with their customers; they post the promotion and any information on their Facebook and can also receive feedbacks from their clients.
Another interesting thing about Facebook is that it has more than 500 million users, and each user averagely has their own 130 Facebook friends. And when a user posts something on your page, their friends can notice it and all of this is free.

  1. I think it's the good idea one that we can apply in many business especially in the restaurant and spa business.

Facebook may help us increase the number of our customers by not so using a lot of money on advertising.

But one serious thing is how can we maintain the member of our network to let our customer still keep in touch with us.

Cstomer behavior may turn to another business very quickly and it is very fast to out of trend in cyber world.

  2. Facebook is very good from my point of view because nowaday people keep in touch by posting and messageing through internet system specialy on facebook.
So it will be easy for us and for the customer to read or get our promotions or new product via facebook. We can take a pictures of our products to show to many people around the world and we might get a new customers from these connection.

  3. In my view, this is quite a fast, convenient as well as cost effective marketing approach. For instance, through facebook, the restaurant and spa can easily determine and categorize their target market accordingly based on age, gender, nationality and so on for effective marketing purpose.

Yet, certain issues arising where salespeople and customers are isolated and where there is minimal physical demonstration especially when promoting services which is intangible can be a major drawback which can occur through the implementation of this technique.
